Abstract
589,950. Drawing sheet glass. LEROY, J. April 6, 1945, No. 8532. Convention date, March 13, 1943. [Class 56] In a glass-sheet drawing apparatus having a drawing pit containing a debiteuse d, the collecting zone C, setting zone Sand annealing zone A are all clearly delimited and separate from each other. The collecting zone is defined by the debiteuse and horizontal screens 1 which are movable vertically, horizontally and angularly and the setting zone is defined by the screens 1 and a cloche-like member 4 spaced from the walls of the pit. The member 4 is formed by two interpivoted parts and the ends of the setting zone are closed by panels. Cooling pipes 3 in the setting zone may be oscillated and their distance from the glass sheet may be adjusted. Water may be circulated therethrough or air may be sprayed or sucked. Differently sized bars 6 which may be perforated to pass cool air regulate the passage of air to the annealing zone.
