Propeller shafts, arrangement of; driving- arrangements for screw propellers.-In a hydroplane, the propellers b, b<1>, are arranged below the keel in echelon, the shafts a, a<1> being approximately parallel and in the same vertical plane. Independent power units c, c<1> are shown, but a single unit geared to both shafts may be employed. The Provisional Specification also states that the arrangement is particularly applicable to mixed power units, such as the combination of a reciprocating engine and a turbine.
