Abstract

28,656. Joly, H. E. Dec. 9. Punt guns; machine-rests for; firing-appliances applicable generally.-Consists (a) in a machine rest, especially intended for punt guns, comprising two adjustable supports 2 combined with a recoil-absorbing device 16, and (b) in a relay device for pulling the trigger from a short distance. The rear support is adjustable vertically, and the front one both vertically and laterally. The device for pulling the trigger comprises a rubber or other spring 28, Fig. 8, which is connected to the trigger 23 by a cord 24 passing over pulleys. The spring 28 is held tensioned by a pin 31 passing through eyeletholes 30, 32, 33, as shown in Fig. 9. When the pin 31 is pulled, the spring 28 is released and fires the gun.
