Abstract
23,602. Hutton, R. W. Oct. 12. Folding boxes.-A collapsible box for holding and displaying goods consists of a four-sided casing 1, Fig. 1, of cardboard or other flexible material, the bottom edges of the sides having flaps 2 arranged so that they interlock and support each other when folded in, and adapted to support a loose flanged bottom 6, Fig. 2, placed over them inside the box. The upper edges of the sides are also furnished with flaps 3, and a hinged lid 4 may be attached to one of these, as shown at 5. A loose cover similar to the bottom 6 may be arranged over the contents, being partly covered by the flaps 3. In a modification, the bottom flaps 2 may be made broader, so that they cross in the centre of the box bottom, the meeting parts being secured by an adhesive paper label. The supporting-flaps 2 and the bottom 6 may also be positively interlocked.
