Hinged bifurcated handles.-In a hand hoe, the blade is adjustably connected to the handle by means of brackets having teeth held in engagement with. teeth on a resilient yoke by means of screw bolts and a turn-buckle. The resilient yoke 7 is fixed to the handle 8 and has eyes 10 provided with radial teeth 12 to engage with corresponding teeth on eyes 15 of brackets 13, to which the blade B is fastened. The teeth are held in contact by bolts 19 passing through the eyes 10, 15 and screwing into a turn-buckle C, which consists of a milled or currugated tube.
