Abstract

128,121. Compton, J. B. Dec. 4, 1918. Hinged handles. - The handle D of a safety razor is provided with a bifurcated end engaging a socket 22 screwed to a stud 15 projecting from the clamping-plate C. A threaded bolt 17, having a squared portion 19 passing through one bifurcation nf the handle, connects the handle and the socket and is provided at one end with a clamping-nut 18 and at the other with a thumbnut 20. The angular position of the blade-holder relatively to the handle is adjusted by loosening the thumb-nut 20 and re-tightening it, and any wear in the bolt 17 is taken up by adjusting the clamping-nut 18.
