Hinged handles.-Relates to a tool of the type which can be used as a hoe, spade, turf-spade, pick-axe, hatchet hammer, saw, and nail-puller, the tool being pivoted on the end of the handle and adapted to be locked in its various operative positions. The combined spade 2 and pick 1 is provided with a disk-shaped extension 3 pivoted to the handle end on a pin 5 and having peripheral notches 11 adapted to be engaged for locking the tool by the end 13 of a rod 8, the end of which is threaded through the nut 15 for axial adjustment. The blade 2 is adapted for use as a saw along one edge, an axe on the other edge, thickened at 16 for use as a hammer, and has a nail - extracting notch in its rear edge.
