The blades are bevelled at their inner ends so as to overlap; the guards are supported by portions p, q of the holder. The pricking-device comprises a series of teeth v carried by a block u at the other end of the handle a, the teeth projecting through a frame r adjustable in guides x upon the block to vary the projection of the teeth r. The frame is adjustable by means of a nut s carried by the frame and engaging the screw t on the block.
