Brake mechanism.-A concentrically-moving arm or member is mounted upon the square or equivalently-shaped end of a concealed roller lever, but is not positively secured thereto other than by the abutment of the arm with an independent part, such as the arm of a second lever, and by the means securing the lever in position within the handle-bar. As shown in Fig. 2, arms r, q, mounted upon the square ends of levers f, g, abut against one another, and are both entirely disposed within the handle-bar lug a, endlong movement of the levers being prevented by screws l, which pass through the inner tube d and the closure collars k and project into elongated slots or recesses in the levers. The brake stems may be secured to the arms by means of studs t, arranged upon the inner sides of the arms so that the stems may be disposed one in front of the other.
