612,458. Control mechanism. BIRMINGHAM SMALL ARMS CO., Ltd., and URRY, W. C. May 24, 1946, No. 15745. [Class 136 (i)] In a brake mechanism for cycles of the kind in which a brake lever attachment comprises a metal bracket 1 pivotally supporting an actuating lever 5 and providing an abutment for one end of the sheath of a transmitting mechanism, the bracket has a tongue 15 which passes through a slit 19 formed in a handle-bar 17, the arrangement being such that the bracket and projection engage respectively with external and internal surfaces of the handle-bar to which they are secured by screws or other suitable means.
