Two-stroke-cycle engines.-In a revolving or stationary cylinder double-acting valveless engine, explosion chambers A', A<2> are formed on both sides of a central partition A<3> having extending sleeves A, which slide over fixed pistons B<1>, B<2>, and an annular enlargement A<4> for compressing explosive mixture induced through a single set of ports G. The exhaust of the combustion gases is effected through ports P<1>, P<2>, explosive mixture being admitted through ports J<1>, J<2>, which communicate at the ends of the working strokes with passages L', L<2> leading to the pump spaces K<1>, K<2> respectively. The partition ports J<1>, J<2> place the combustion spaces in communication with the sparking- plugs, at the ends of the compression strokes.
