Abstract

8131. Spencer, T. C. April 4. Penholders.-Relates to nib-ejecting means of the kind in which the nib is held between a core and a slotted sleeve, the core being moved longitudinally to eject the nib by a pin attached to the core and projecting through the slot in the sleeve. The sleeve 3 is made from a blank 4, Fig. 6, which is rolled into tubular form with its longitudinal edges spaced apart to form the slot and with the projection 5 overlapping the end of slot. The core 7 consists of a tapering tube of metal, with its edges spaced apart and bearing upon the inner edge of the sleeve. The pin 8 is movable vertically through the core and sleeve in order to take up little room when out of use.
