Spray carburettors.-The fuel-nozzle g, controlled by the needle h,. is situated in the lower portion of an elbow pipe, one end of which is provided with a supplementary-air valve d, and the other end with a throttle valve c. The nozzle is surrounded by gauze cones 1, 2 upon which it deposits the fuel, the lower cone being in action at low speeds and the upper cone at high speeds. Primary air enters by the passage a, and is controlled by a nut b.
