30,274. North British Rubber Co., Backer, A. C., and Johnston, A. Dec. 28. Tyre-inflating valves. A valve for pneumatic tyres is arranged to sound a whistle when air escapes and red u c e s t h e pressure below a certain point. A chamber E has a non- return inflation valve L and a deflation valve G. When the tyre is punctured and the pressure falls, the valve G is moved off its seat G' by a spring F so that air escapes through a hole H into a chamber K provided with a whistle I.
