Abstract

27,546. Meissner, W. Nov. 26. Seed distributors. - A toothed disk k is mounted in front of the planting-share e in adjustable bearings carried by a lever h. The disk carries shares t inclined to the radii, so that, in making the furrow, the earth is thrown forwards and sideways but not upwards, thus preventing descent of the earth into the furrow. The disk is driven by chain gearing from the side wheels b.
