Abstract

190,926. Rossington, J. T. Jan. 17, 1922. Axle stops comprise a trip lever A engaged by an axle to force up a stop B which will drop clear of an axle travelling at normal speed but will engage and stop an axle travelling at abnormal speed. The lever A has a ball-shaped end c to prevent truck couplings from fouling the lever. The stop B when in action engages a support C and carries a contact E to give a signal to the engine room, &c.
