Abstract

Impulse and reaction meters. - In a rotary meter in which a reaction-wheel 4 adapted to be rotated by the current is arranged in a constriction 3 in the pipe line, the spindle 5 of the wheel is extended into a non-constricted region so that the disturbance set up in the stream by the transmission mechanism 6, 7 connecting it with the counter 8 is minimized. Fixed planes 9 are preferably arranged in front of the wheel 4.
