A centrifugal flowmeter comprises a conduit 2 having an arcuate portion extending for at least 100 degrees of arc and a differential pressure sensing device 7 with connections 5 and 6 extending to the mid-point of the arc on diametrically opposite sides of the conduct, said diameter 8 extending substantially radially of the arc. The conduit 2 is joined to inlet 3 and outlet 4 conduits forming part of a flow-line.
