Flow meters, pressure. actuated.-A plate 8, Figs. 2, 8 and 9. forming a partial or complete obstruction in a pipe, is provided with a gap or orifice 9, 17 extending to, nearly to, or slightly beyond the inner periphery of the pipe or a steadying device therein. The pressure pipes 10, 11 are located in a plane passing longitudinally through the gap or orifice, and their ends extend to, or nearly to, the gap or orifice where it extends to the periphery of the pipe.
