Abstract

11,850. Embree, A. E. July 21, 1908, [Convention date]. Separators.-Apparatus intended chiefly for removing oil &c. from exhaust steam, but applicable for analogous uses, comprises a vertical cylinder 3 having inlet and outlet pipes 2, 17, secured to the removable cover 6; the inlet pipe 2 projects into the cylinder, as shown. The separated oil &c. is discharged automatically through a valve 10, mounted on a pipe 9 projecting into the cylinder, and operated by a float 12 on the valve-stem 11. There are also provided a gauge-glass 14 and a draw-off pipe 8 for the oil.
