Limbs, artificial.-An artificial foot comprises blocks a<1>, a<2>, a<3>, connected by hinges a', a<5>, a<6>, an ankle - piece c pivoted by a pin d<1> to an extension d of the block a', a cork heel-pad j, and a tightly-fitting legging g, which is stiffened by side-bars g<1> pivoted to the ankle-piece by a bolt b. The piece c is connected to the block a<1> by a spring f<1> and by side-bars e joined to a cross-bolt b, which works in a suitable slot; it is connected to the block, a<3> by a spring f<2>, and to the block a<1> and the legging g by an elastic strap k. The blocks a<1>, a<2>, a<3> are tied by springs f<3>, f<4>, f<5>, and the legging and the block a<3> by an elastic suspender h. In modifications, the blocks a<1>, a<2>, a<3> are connected by knuckle joints, and the ankle piece c is loosely mounted on a ridge extending from the block a'.
