Abstract

6723. Krupp Akt.-Ges., F. June 9,1908, [Convention date]. Recoil apparatus.-Relates to recoil cut-off gear of the kind described in Specification 26,252/05, and consists in relieving the rotary valve member of axial fluid pressure. The piston C, in which are formed passages c<1>, moves during recoil in the direction X within the cylinder A having spiral grooves a' and is gradually brought to rest as the passages c<1> pass out of alinement with the grooves a<1>. The direct passage of fluid through the grooves a<1> is prevented by a rotary member D, carried by the piston C. The pressure of the member D on its abutment b<2> is relieved by providing a chamber d' which communicates by way of passages d' with the pressure fluid.
