6392. Bohle, E. W. March 17. Brake mechanism.-In clips for mounting the roller levers of cycle brakes, comprising a clamping-band A for encircling the handle-bar and a box-like part B carrying a bearing, a binding-screw device, adapted to tighten the clamping-band before bringing pressure to bear on the bearing-carrying part, is provided. At least one of the ends a<2> of the band passes into the part B, and is engaged by a shouldered pin C passing through a hole b<6> in one side of the part B and screwing into a socket c', which passes through a hole b<5> in the other side of the part B and through the other end a<1> of the band. The part B is made from a blank, Fig. 5, by bending up the sides b<1> and folding over the extension b<3> to close the other side. A bush b' is then placed in the part B and secured in any suitable manner.
