Abstract

4214. Krupp Akt.-Ges., F. May 5, 1908, [Convention date]. Ordnance breech mechanism.-Relates to trigger mechanism, and consists in firing the gun by means of a handle placed on a fixed part of the gun mounting. Fig. 1 shows a part side elevation of the gun A, the cradle B, and the carriage C. A trigger-bar E, curved, in the position shown, about the axis of a trunnion b<3> as centre, is mounted on the carriage C by means of links D<1>, D<2>, so that it can be moved parallel to itself by operating a handle D<3>. A spring bolt F<1> mounted on the cradle B has one end in contact with the triggerbar E, its other end engaging with a two-armed lever G, G<1> mounted on the gun A and connected by a lanyard J to a trigger-lever K. The gun can be fired at all angles of elevation by operating the handle D<3>.
