Abstract

3308. Robertson, J., [trading as Boss & Co.]. Feb. 10. Breech actions, drop-down barrel.-Relates to double-barrelled guns having superposed barrels as shown in Fig. 4, and consists in mounting the ejector arms in side pieces situated midway between the two barrels. The sliding hammers 13 and springs 14 are mounted in the fore-end iron which is formed with two side pieces 1, 2, Fig. 2, which form continuations of the side pieces of the barrels. The ejector sear 17, Fig. 3, is pivoted and is actuated by a lug on 'the action body. To prevent the ejector lugs from being strained, the re-cocking of the ejecting-mechanism is effected by a link 29 acting between the action body and the ejector hammer 13.
