Abstract

Incandescent vapour burners; vaporizing - a p p a - ratus.-In an inverted incandescent vapour lamp, the vaporizer - tube A is placed above the burner, and vaporization is assisted by heat conducted from the burner head to the vaporizer by a heat conductor K. A hollow branch from the vaporizer may also be connected to the burner head. The vapour and air are mixed in a chamber D placed outside the external casing of the lamp, and the mixture is superheated by the waste gases as it passes down the mixing-tube. Two valves p<3>, p<5>, combined in one casing, are provided for the regulation of the vapour supply. One of these valves is used simply as a stop-cock, and the other for the final adjustment of the fuel supply.
