Abstract
190,893. Nightingale, J. Dec. 7, 1921. Spindle apparatus; lifting rails. - Collars for the spindles of slubbing, intermediate, and roving frames are constructed from a hardened drawn steel tube a, the exterior of which forms the bearing for the bobbin wheel. A bush b of similar material is inserted within the tube a to form a journal bearing for the spindle c, while a hardened ring d, or foot h, formed separately frcm the tube a and placed in position, is used to secure the collar to the lifter rail.
