Lubricators. - The cutter-spindle bearings of wood moulding, planing, and like machines are lubricated by means of vanes or blades c, which are secured to the spindle a and, while rotating, circulate oil from a well d over the bearing-surfaces. The bearing e is formed with axial and radial slots f, g and a channel h through which the oil returns to the well d. Slots or grooves i adjacent to the vanes c enable the oil to gain access to the bearing. Sight-apertures may be provided above the slots i. To equalize the wear, the bearings may occasionally be turned without interfering with the circulation of the oil.
