Manganese sulphate; oxidizing.-A salt, to which is assigned the formula, Mn(SO4)2+Mn(HSO4)2, is obtained by adding concentrated sulphuric acid to a saturated solution of manganese sulphate, and then dissolving manganese dioxide in the mixture. On cooling, or addition of more sulphuric acid, the double salt is precipitated. The product is suitable as an oxidizing-agent.
