Liquids and gases, separating. - T h e steam or other vapour enters through the pipe 16 and is deflected by a baffle-plate 18 against a diaphragm 19, which is constructed of a number of layers of fine-mesh wiregauze. The particles of liquid entrained in the vapour pass through the gauze, but the steam is deflected towards the outlet 17. In another form the inlet and outlet are tubes connected to the top cover, and the former projects some distance towards the diaphragm.
