Abstract

2371. Korting Akt.-Ges., Geb. Feb. 1, 1908, [Convention date]. Jet condensers; condenser systems.-A spray condenser is divided into two or more compartments A, B, to each of which condensing-water is admitted through chambers C, C<1>. The steam enters by a pipe I, the air and uncondensed vapours pass away by a pipe M, and the water flows away through a liquid seal N to a centrifugal pump R. The uncondensed gases may be removed by the pump R, or by means of an arrangement of two or more steam ejectors 3, 11. The ejector 3 discharges beneath a sieve 9, to the upper surface of which water is admitted by a pipe 7 for the condensation of the steam.
