Electric-lamp lanterns.-A lamp for carriages and motor-cars has an incandescent lamp d fixed in a holder c on an outer casing a, and having its bulb at the 'axis of a reflector b, arranged so that no shadow is cast by the fittings ; a space is left between the reflector and the casing in which the leads are placed. A box e fixed to the casing has a socket f for supporting the lamp on a bracket, and a plug g or other device for connecting the leads to a source of supply, the connexion being placed so as to be out of sight.
