112,507. Engelke, W. Jan. 11, 1917. Electric-lamp lanterns.-To allow of axial adjustment of an electric lamp bulb, an elastic slotted socket 2 is tapered externally and is compressed on to the lamp-cap 1<a> or an attached part by a fixed tapered seating 9 into which the socket is drawn by a nut 10 on its rear end. A reflector may be attached to the seating 9. The socket 8 may be threaded internally, or, when the filament axis has to be kept vertical, both the cap and the socket may be plain.
