Carburetting. - Relates to means for maintaining constant the pressure of air entering a carburettor, and for simultaneously regulating the admission of oil to the carburettor and of gas to the motor driving the moving parts of the carburettor. The air-inlet pipe a to the carburettor is provided with a branch h b surmounted by a floating bell d carrying a rod e. Increased pressure in the air-supply pipe a causes the bell d to rise taking with it a rod e connected by a pin and slot with a valve h leading to an outlet i. The bell d and a lever k connected to the valve h may be weighted. The oil supply to the carburettor, and the gas supply to the motor that drives the moving parts of the carburettor, are simultaneously controlled by means of valves actuated by two levers connected to the spindle n of the valve h.
