Delivery apparatus; sheet feedtables.-Machines for folding paper by the aid of rollers and buckling- p l a t e s as described in Specifications 14631/07, 12653/08, 14893/14, and 123,475, [both in Class 100 (ii), Printing processes &c.], are constructed with a switch plate which can be set to direct a folded sheet to a delivery device or to a subsequent folder. The sheets are fed from an adjustable table B, Fig. 1, to rollers c, c' which direct the leading edge to a buckling-plate P formed of spaced members p'. p<3>, of which the plate p<1> is slotted to receive stops p", Fig. 2, depending from a stop plate p<12> which is angularly adjustable about a pivot p". The first fold is produced as the buckled paper passes between the rollers c'. c<2>. A switch F is then set so as to direct the folded sheet to a second set of folding- rollers c<3>, c<4>, c<5> and a buckling plate P<1>, the twice-folded sheet passing to delivery bands and belts d<11>, d<5>; or the switch may be set to direct the folded sheet to the delivery device without passing to the folding-rollers c<3> &c. The second set of buckling- folders may be replaced by an ordinary knife folder. The feed-table B is fitted with guides b<11>, and as formed of two outer sections which are secured on rods a' by means of screw-actuated clamping-rods, which can be released to enable one or more leaves to be inserted between the outer sections. These leaves are held in place by springs b<10> embracing the rods a<1>. The delivery belts d<11> pass over a driven roller d<6>, and a roller d<12> carried by an adjustable bracket. The roller d<6> is bored at its ends to receive a supporting axle d<19>, Fig. 6, which passes through the frame part a<5>, and is formed with a knurled head d<21> and with shoulders where this engages the frame and adjacent to the roller d<6>. The belts d<5> pass over spools d<4> carried by adjustable arms d', and over spools d<9>, d<10>, secured to axles d<7>, d<8>, which can be removed axially when it is desired to remove any of the spools.
