Sand-papering.- In a sand-papering machine, the table F, upon which the work is placed and through a slot in which the roller J acts upon the work, is adjusted vertically by slackening the nuts E and inserting packing-strips between the table F and the frame K. The roller is reciprocated longitudinally by a worm-wheel B, which is mounted in a casing S and anchored to the frame D by an eccentric connexion R, engaging a worm A on the end of the roller shaft C. The felting, cloth, and sand-paper are secured to the roller by a wedge G which is driven into a suitable groove H in the roller. The wok is finished by a brush suitably mounted in the frame.
