25,516. Cohn, S. Nov. 12. Incandescent gas lamps.-In a mantle for use with inverted burners, the end c' to be closed is drawn up and tied by a thread b to form a neck. The mantle is then turned inside out, and the inwardly-projectly neck is beaten out flat by a hammer e on a mandrel d. The binding-thread b may be wound once round the neck, and the projecting part c<1> may be cut off immediately above the thread, in order that the projection may be made as flat as possible.
