Abstract

5010. Rhenania-Gl³hlicht Cie. Feb. 6, [Convention date]. Mantles.-An inverted soft mantle is secured to the supporting-ring or holder by an extensible closed securing-ring surrounded with asbestos or other refractory material. The extensible closed ring preferably consists of a cord of rubber, metal, or other material surrounded with asbestos or other refractory material, and may be of corrugated, spiral, or plain formation. The securing-ring is pushed over the opening of the supporting-ring until the extensible cord engages with the groove of the riug intended to receive it, thereby dispensing with the usual tying or binding. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 17,127/04 and 17,584/04.
