Abstract
29,948. Nemerovsky, J. M., Everett, L. C., and Nemerovsky, F. June 16. Mantles.-To prevent an inverted mantle from breaking away from its ring or support A, a band a<1> of cotton, celluloid or other combustible material is placed around the groove in the ring. The mantle B is then placed in position and tied with asbestos thread. When the mantle is burnt off, a slight space is left between the mantle and the part of the ring to which it is secured.
