Carving and like knives; pocket and like knives; bread cutters. - In a multi-bladed knife, for slicing meat, fish, game, bread, or vegetables, the bladesa are secured by a pivot pin c and locking- pin e, Fig. 1, and are made adjustable by various means. Washers g, Figs. 1, 3, and 7, of varying thicknesses may be employed. In the arrangement shown in Fig. 4, a screw k, acting through the screwed part l of the blade, affects the springs j, which yield equally. A variable threaded screw, or a multi-threaded screw n, Fig. 5, may be employed. In a modification, one blade is permanently secured to a removable side p, Fig. 2, of the handle, and is detachably secured to the remainder of the handle by headed studs, and keyhole slots r, Figs. 2 and 6, or by a spring clip. An adjustable guide may be secured to the outside blade. The blades may fold down, wholly or partly, into the handle.
