Capsule closures.-The flange of a stopper of the crown-cork type is formed with an inturned locking-lip 3, the bend of which may be either angular or rounded. The stoppers may be applied by a bending - die or spinning - wheel, to highshouldered bottles, Fig. 5, or low - shouldered bottles, Fig. 4, the locking-lip adapting itself, as shown, to such variations as occur in commercial bottles which are intended to be of the same size.
