Stoppers; capsuling and sealing bottles.-The neck is formed with a shallow groove a, Fig. 1, to receive the wire D, and the glass cap B is secured in position by the sheet-metal flange C, which is spun or otherwise bent round the projecting part of the wire. The wire may be formed with a withdrawing-loop d, which may partly rest in a recess b in the neck, but the loop may be omitted. The cap is removed by withdrawing the wire, the flange C yielding sufficiently to permit this withdrawal. In the form shown in Fig. 4, the cap C<1> is of sheet metal, and is provided with an ordinary packing-disc e', the loop on the wire and the recess b being omitted.
