Loom let-off motions; warp tension, regulating.- To reduce the tension on the warp threads when the shed is changing, the usual let-off lever i, which carries the rod j having catches k to operate the worm let-off motion, is actuated by the mechanism p, o, n<1> and an adjustable eccentric m. The rod p extends through a slot in a lug i<11> on the lever i, and carries at an adjustable height a collar r. The latter is adjusted and the eccentric timed so that the lever i is raised and the catches k operated to give the let-off while the crank a is moving from the position shown in full lines to that shown in dotted lines. The weight on the weighted lever h<1> co-operating with the back-swing h may be reduced, to minimize warp breakages &c., or for heavy goods increased weight may be added, the let-off of the warp allowing the weight to have its full action during the beat-up with diminished strain on the warps.
