Rollers and roller heads; drawing- frames.-Relates to clearing - apparatus for drawing-frames &c., of the kind in which the two top clearer rollers are adjustably connected together and are provided with driving-means from one clearer roller to the other, and in which the weight or pressure with which the front top clearer bears upon the drawing-rollers is regulated by means of weights. The axles E, G of the clearer rollers C, D are carried by side levers or frames I, F, which are adjustable upon one another, by means of the studs and slots J, so that the distance apart of the clearer rollers may be regulated. The pressure of the roller C is regulated by fixed or adjustable counterweights H on the levers or frames F, and the axles of the rollers carry pulleys L over which pass endless circular cords, flat bands, or straps.
