Toothed gearing.-In toothed reduction gearing for turbines &c. with divided gear and pinion members such as 11, 13, 16, 17, the bearings 12, 15, 19 for supporting the gears and their shafts are arranged between the parts of the gear members, and the bearings 12, 15 for the primary and intermediate shafts, respectively, may be carried by flexible girders 20, 21 to provide for automatic adjustment of the tooth pressures.
