The rims have between them a series of springs k made, like carriage springs, of strips of steel, or made of wire. The springs are fastened at their centres to transverse plates on the inner rim by holders l and bolts m. The ends of the springs are linked, as shown, to double brackets h. The outer rim consists of two flexible steel bands c', c<2> having between them a rubber or like ring d. A solid beaded tyre e is put on the outside of the outer rim.
