Stoves; gas and oil burners; smoke-consuming.- Relates to improvements in gas, oil, and solid-fuel burners of the kind described in Specification No. 9982, A.D. 1899, for steam generators &c. The burner is surrounded by a number of perforated casings 1, 2, 3 resting on one or more perforated rings 27, 28, 29 carried by a perforated bottom part 25, through which air is admitted to the spaces inside and between the perforated casings. Fig. 1 shows a bunsen burner 24 provided with a pilot burner 36 and surrounded by bell-shaped casings. The casings become incandescent and complete combustion of the gases takes place between them. Cylindrical perforated casings may be used, closed at the top by a cover or by the articles to be heated. In the case of larger burners, the casing may be made up of wedge-shaped sections, the sides of which form perforated radial partitions.
