7687. Thompson, C. March 31. Children's mail carts &c.-Shafts or handles for mail carts and the like are adjustably hinged, and can be folded back for stowage. The handle A, pivoted at B in a bracket C, has a bolt H passing through a slotted plate J and a bridge-piece P. Figs. 2 and 3 show the handle fixed in its lowest and highest positions respectively, in the latter case the plate J being pushed forwards until the lug L bears under the projecting part of the bracket C. By rotating the bridge-piece until it is in line with the handle, the latter can be folded back, as shown in dotted lines in Fig. 3.
