Motor road vehicles.-A speed-reducing gear, suitable for motor road vehicles, is shown in Fig. 2, applied to the " De Dion " type of internalcombustion engine. Upon the crank shaft A is mounted a pinion B gearing with a spur-wheel C on the shaft D, which may ba connected to other change-speed or reduction gear as required. The gearing is enclosed in the crank chamber, or in an extension of the crank chamber F.
