Abstract
27,314. Bates, I. Dec. 11. Incandescent gas lamps.-In an antivibration device for incandescent gas lamps, a mantle, burner, and reflector are suspended by a spiral spring. The ends of the spring 7, Fig. 1, are attached to elbows 2, which are also connected by a flexible tube 5. The reflector 1 is connected to the lower elbow by means of a flanged and screwed piece 3 ; inside this flanged piece is screwed a pipe leading to the burner. The upper elbow connects with a gas supply. The heat generated by the burner is retained by the reflector, and beats the pipe through which the gas passes to the burner. According to the Provisional Specification, the device is applicable for street lighting, as well as for workshops and other places.
